Are you a motivated and skilled Garage Door Technician looking to join a dynamic team? At Primo’s Garage Doors, we are seeking a dedicated individual responsible for the sales and service of residential and custom garage doors. As a technician, you will travel to various service calls each day, providing top-notch service and sales support for new products and services while interacting with customers across our service areas.
Key Responsibilities – **Mechanical Assembly:** Assemble mechanical components or machine parts.– **Equipment Adjustment:** Adjust equipment for optimal performance.– **Order Management:** Order replacement springs, sections, or slats.– **Repair and Maintenance:** Repair or replace worn or broken door parts using hand tools, disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair, and lubricate equipment to ensure proper functioning.– **Installation:** Install hardware or other interior fixtures and run wiring to connect equipment.– **Testing and Documentation:** Test mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning and document operational activities.– **Customer Interaction:** Interact with customers daily, ensuring patient and respectful behavior as a representative of our company.– **Payment Collection:** Collect payments for goods or services provided.
Basic Position Requirements Abilities – Strong mechanical and technical skills.– Physically capable of moving items weighing 75 lbs or more, and able to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods.– Excellent interpersonal skills for customer relations and issue resolution.– Strong communication skills for collaboration under various conditions.– Ability to multitask and handle conflicting events in a fast-paced environment.– Persuasive skills for customer interactions.– Reliable and self-motivated.
Knowledge – Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Garage Door Industry.– Proficiency with computers and tablets.– Familiarity with Google search and navigation systems is a plus.– Knowledge of hand tools, mechanical tools, and garage door experience is beneficial but not required.– GED, High School Diploma, or suitable equivalent.– Selling skills for promoting ideas, policies, products, or services.– Availability to work after hours, weekends, and public holidays with short notice.– Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a company vehicle.– Must pass a drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check.
