We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Driver to join our Growing dynamic team in Christchurch . *The role involves driving a Class 1 and 2 truck, so confidence in a larger vehicle is a must. *Day to day you will be in a transit van or small truck doing courier deliveries into commercial shops, and malls around Christchurch, *Class 2 experience an advantage for odd jobs, Responsibilities: - Safely and efficiently operate a vehicle to transport freight to various destinations - Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods - Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any maintenance issues - Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of goods - Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts, invoices, and delivery confirmations - Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor at all times Requirements: - Valid Class 2 driver's license with a clean driving record preferred. - Proven experience as a Driver, preferably in a freight or logistics environment - Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws - Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects- you will be in an out of the vehicle delivering freight. - Exceptional time management and organizational skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team Hours are generally Monday to Friday, between 8:00am - 5pm, However can differ occasionally dependent on freight volumes. We are an all hands on deck type company, where we value our team culture. This person must be able to work well with others, and build relationships with our customers. You will be reliable, versatile, and motivated to succeed. You will have the ability to work well unsupervised, and under pressure, whilst maintaining a sense of humour. Attention to detail is required, but it's the "can do" attitude that's most important. At least a Full clean Class 2 license is required for this role. A current fork hoist license is also a bonus, but not essential. You must have your own reliable transport to and from work (based in Casebrook, Christchurch).
