Innovate! Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented GIS Specialist – Production to support enterprise geospatial operations within a high-performing GIS Service Center. This role is responsible for data production, quality control, database management, and workflow execution across a wide range of GIS projects supporting environmental analysis, land management, and infrastructure planning. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of geospatial data and deliverables while working closely with senior staff, developers, and project managers. This position operates in a modern Esri-based enterprise environment, supporting both internal stakeholders and mission-critical GIS initiatives.

Salary Range: $73,000 - $95,000

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform GIS mapping, data production, and database management for a variety of projects and programs
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency of GIS data and deliverables
- Coordinate with hardware and software vendors to maintain a stable and reliable GIS environment
- Monitor and manage data backup processes and data integrity across enterprise systems
- Support the creation and maintenance of enterprise geodatabases (ArcSDE) and data schemas
- Develop and maintain GIS workflows, procedures, and documentation for production activities
- Manage and support data collection technologies, including GPS and field data tools
- Assist in configuring and maintaining ArcGIS Online environments and user access
- Produce maps, reports, and geospatial datasets for internal and external stakeholders
- Support Service Center leadership with project setup, user access, security, and account management
- Review and prepare final GIS deliverables for release as delegated by management
- Collaborate with cross-functional GIS teams and contribute to interdisciplinary projects
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- GIS & Esri Platform -
- ArcGIS Pro / ArcGIS Desktop
- ArcGIS Online (administration and content management)
- ArcGIS Enterprise (basic familiarity)
- Spatial Analyst (working knowledge)
- ArcSDE / enterprise geodatabases
- Data Management & Production -
- Strong understanding of geospatial data structures, schemas, and workflows
- Experience with database management and geodatabase design
- Data quality assurance and validation techniques
- Knowledge of FGDC ISO metadata standards
- Programming & Automation -
- Python (geoprocessing, scripting)
- ModelBuilder
- Basic scripting and workflow automation
- Field Data & Collection -
- Experience with GPS and field data collection technologies
- Familiarity with ArcGIS Field Maps or similar tools
- Data preparation for field collection and post-processing
- Systems & Tools -
- Familiarity with GIS-related hardware (plotters, scanners, GPS devices)
- Experience supporting GIS environments in coordination with IT or vendors
- Basic understanding of cloud-based GIS environments and web services

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3+ years of GIS production experience using Esri software
- Minimum 3+ years of experience with Python and/or ModelBuilder
- Demonstrated experience in mapping, cartography, and geospatial data management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of ESRI training courses such as:
- ArcGIS Pro / Desktop
- Building Geodatabases
- Cartographic Production
- 3D Analysis / Visualization
- Field Workflows using ArcGIS
- Experience with ArcGIS Server or ArcSDE configuration
- Experience with enterprise GIS workflows and production environments
