CNC Applications Engineer

Become the technical authority for the "Gold Standard" of high-precision machining! Our client, a premier importer of world-class CNC machine tools, is seeking a high-level Application Engineer to support their expansion across the Midwest and Northeast. In this remote/hybrid role, you will be the technical bridge between sales, engineering, and the customer, providing expert guidance on 5-axis optimization and complex process improvements. We are looking for a technical expert who brings:

5-Axis Mastery: 3-5+ years of hands-on experience with high-speed 5-axis CNC machining centers.

Advanced Programming Skills: Proficiency in CAM programming and Fanuc controls, with deep knowledge of TWP (Tilted Work Planes) and TCP (Tool Center Point Control).

Process Optimization Mindset: A ability to evaluate customer needs and recommend tailored tooling, programming, and process improvements.

Technical Communication: Excellent skills in providing on-site training and technical assistance via phone or video platforms.

Strategic Support: Experience producing technical documentation and content for trade shows to highlight machine capabilities to target markets.

responsibilities:
Advanced Technical Support: Provide high-level support for 5-axis functions, machine parameter data editing, and complex machining solutions.

On-Site Customer Training: Deliver expert-level technical training for customers and dealers, ensuring they maximize the performance of their premium equipment.

Sales Consultation: Act as a technical subject matter expert to assist sales teams in identifying and recommending the ideal machinery for specific project needs.

Technical Documentation: Produce detailed documentation to inform factory functional changes and create relevant content for industry trade shows and open houses.

Multi-Channel Assistance: Provide ongoing technical troubleshooting for customers and dealer personnel via remote platforms to maintain the brand's reputation for excellence.
