Top Starting Salary:
$66,000 – among the highest for certified teachers in the state (commensurate with experience)

Hard-to-Fill Role Bonus:
$2,000 for Math, Science, SPED, and Tech teachers

Performance Bonuses:
Up to $7,500 annually

Continued Education Incentives

  • +$4,000 for a master’s degree in a related field
  • +$2,000 for Bachelor’s + 15 Graduate Credits
  • +$2,000 for Master’s + 30 Graduate Credits

Longevity Pay:
$1,200 every three years

Tuition Reimbursement Program:

Key Responsibilities

Instruction (6th Grade Social Studies)

  • Plan and deliver engaging Social Studies lessons aligned to state standards
  • Teach topics such as history, geography, civics, and culture
  • Promote critical thinking, discussion, and analysis of historical and current events
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies, including project-based and inquiry-based learning

LEA Intervention Support

  • Provide targeted academic interventions to students identified for additional support
  • Collaborate with special education staff, interventionists, and leadership
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on data
  • Support compliance with LEA guidelines and student support plans

Student Support & Classroom Environment

  • Build strong relationships with students and families
  • Maintain a structured, positive classroom environment
  • Use data and assessments to inform instruction and improve outcomes

Collaboration

  • Work closely with grade-level and content teams
  • Participate in professional development and staff meetings
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress

What We’re Looking For

  • Certified or soon-to-be-certified teachers in Social Studies, History, or Middle-Level Education
  • Strong content knowledge in Social Studies
  • Experience or interest in providing academic intervention support
  • Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners
  • Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to use data to drive instruction and interventions
  • Commitment to equity, excellence, and continuous professional growth
