IT and Cybersecurity System Specialist

Job Description

For a full-service dental laboratories company providing dental prosthetic appliances (American Dental Designs, Inc. - Montgomeryville, PA): responsible for managing the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring the security, integrity and availability of digital systems used in our business activity; oversee the company's IT infrastructure; analyze and determine network and system needs; install operating and application hardware and software; evaluate and optimize network and system performance; administer and maintain network system, server and user account via Active Directory, configure and enforce access controls and group policies, perform upgrade and repair to network systems and ensure protocols are operating correctly; ensure seamless connectivity between design software and manufacturing equipment, including complex milling machines; implement cybersecurity protocols in compliance with HIPAA and other regulations; deploy endpoint protection, configure firewalls, conduct vulnerability scans and perform system patching and security audits, monitor threats and remediate vulnerabilities to protect sensitive patient and laboratory data; support IT systems used in the digital design and production process, install, update and develop security protocols for dental-specific software like 3Shape, troubleshoot software and hardware issues, coordinate with vendors for hardware and software support, optimize digital workflows between intraoral scanners, design stations, and milling machines, maintain computerized dental manufacturing equipment including Milling, 3D Printers, and Sintering; document IT and security procedures and any changes/upgrades to systems and software, maintain data backup systems and train staff in cybersecurity best practices.

Requirements:

Bachelor or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.

1 year of experience in the job offered or 1 year of experience as Information Security Analyst. The required experience must include performing network administration tasks including basic configuration, management of core services, firewall setup, cybersecurity measures, and data backup procedures, installing, configuring and maintaining systems such as servers, operating systems and business applications, ensuring proper hardening and optimization as needed, administering directory services and software integration, including user account and group policy management in Active Directory, and support for required software, design systems, and production equipment.

Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, user accounts, and group policies, TCP/IP, VLANs, firewall, endpoint protection, WireShark/TCPdump, Python, PowerShell, Bash, 3Shape, intraoral scanners, design stations, milling machines, 3D printers and IT/security documentation.
