Receiving Quality Control Inspector

GSE Dynamics, Inc., a full-service engineering and manufacturing company located in Hauppauge, NY, is seeking a Receiving Quality Control Inspector.

Duties include:

• Read customer issued drawings and instructions related to quality expectations for products and supplies
• Inspection of raw materials, outside service, hardware, consumables and certifications
• Inspections of standard hardware, simple machined components using appropriate QC methods including measuring dimensions, testing functionality, reviewing specifications, etc.
• Use of various systems to perform simple testing procedures
• Maintain records of testing, information and various metrics.
• Monitor the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and well-maintained.
• Prepare and submit reports to quality management

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of Aerospace Manufacturing standards is recommended, including processing and fabrication methods.
• Minimum 1 year experience in manufacturing quality control inspections.
• Ability to read and understand customer drawings and instructions.
• Ability to work independently with hand measuring equipment including calipers and micrometers.
• Ability to independently perform simple inspection on sheet metal parts, hardware and machined components.
• Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 40 lbs.)
• Computer skills are a must.
• Experience working within an AS9100 quality environment is a plus.

Requirements:

U.S. Citizen

High School Diploma or equivalent

Salary Range: $20.00 per hour – $27.00 per hour

This is an estimated salary range with any actual compensation offers to be dependent upon factors including experience, skill set, qualifications, and other factors allowed by law.
