Part-Time Doctor of Nursing Practice Faculty and Program Coordinator for the
Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse
Practitioner Program

University seeks a part-time Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program
Coordinator Faculty Member for the Doctor of
Nursing Practice degree program beginning Summer 2026. The faculty member will be responsible for a teaching load of 12 credit hours per
academic year. Rank will be commensurate with experience. Compensation is competitive among the Council for Christian Colleges and
Universities.
Responsibilities and expectations for this position include:
- Oversee curriculum for Doctor of Nursing
Practice in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program.
- Ensure curriculum is congruent with national and state
standards and competencies.
- Assist with pursuing and maintaining accreditation.
- Develop partnerships and contractual
relationships with clinical sites.
- Collaborate with graduate nursing faculty to meet University, Division, and Nursing Program
Initiatives.
- Teach nursing courses in the graduate and traditional undergraduate Nursing program (didactic and clinical) as
needed.
- Collaborate with Dean, Director, Admissions, and Marketing to recruit new students
- Participate in DNP, Nursing
Program, and University committees.
- Advise students majoring in DNP Program, ensuring their academic progress meets requirements
set by the institution and work with students to encourage professional development.
- Coordinate and oversee clinical experiences
establishing clinical rotations and verifying agency contracts and preceptor qualifications.
- Assume direct supervision and
responsibility of students in the PMHNP track, assessing clinical skills, knowledge and competencies.
- Verify required hours and
finalize documents of preceptorship for national certification.
Qualifications for the successful candidate:
- Evangelical
Christian statement of faith, experience, and mission fit
- Personal commitment to Jesus Christ
- Understanding and
alignment of the heritage, doctrine, and practices of the Church of the Nazarene
- Doctoral degree in Nursing

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification
- Unencumbered RN multi-state license
- Current or recent
clinical practice
- Evidence of effective graduate-level instruction.
- Demonstrated skills in management of academic
programming preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Commitment to inclusivity and diversity
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Evidence of scholarship
