CNC Lathe Setup Operator

salary: $52,000 - $72,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive setup, maintenance, and operation of CNC machine tools, specifically focused on turning and milling centers (both vertical and horizontal).
• Execute machining runs ranging from simple to complex while maintaining exacting tolerances and strict adherence to technical specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure part accuracy and project alignment.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and gauges, along with applicable tooling to verify product quality.
• Edit or modify CNC programs as needed to improve manufacturing efficiency and enhance final product quality.
• Manage multiple tasks or operate several machines simultaneously to meet production goals.
• Order necessary raw materials from stock and secure appropriate tooling required for specific projects.
• Provide instruction and guidance to less experienced operators regarding machine setup and operational procedures.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and cost-efficiency while working with minimal supervision.
• Proactively assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving to support special tools and custom machine orders.
