Discipline Description
IT/OT management oversees multiple domains of the company's IT and/or OT infrastructure, including cyber security, systems administration, network operations, and software development. They lead cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and efficient IT and/or OT operations that align with business objectives. They develop and deliver new IT and/or OT technologies and solutions to meet new business needs and improve efficiency of ongoing operations. They manage IT and/or OT initiatives and customer relationships and ensure adherence to internal and external regulations.
Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include:
SRNS is seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Analytics Manager to lead a cross-functional team of Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Software Engineers, and System Engineers. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping and advancing our organization’s data analytics strategy, with a strong focus on fostering a culture of self-service analytics and utilizing modern analytical tools to drive impactful business decisions.
In this strategic leadership role, the Data Analytics Manager will support SRNS’ long-term operational goals, mission readiness, and digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, visionary leadership, and the ability to navigate complex organizational priorities to ensure analytics initiatives align with and enhance the overall success of the organization.
As part of our advanced analytics efforts, the Data Analytics Manager will lead the implementation and refinement of analytical tools such as Power BI and Oracle Analytics Server (OAS), partnering with stakeholders across the business to meet data-driven objectives. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, change management skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize projects.
The SRNS Data Analytics Manager will oversee collaboration across departments to ensure accurate, actionable analytics are aligned with operational objectives. This is a unique opportunity to influence data culture, systems, and solutions while addressing both immediate priorities and long-term organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Define and continuously enhance SRNS’ analytics strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and driving innovation in business intelligence and data visualization
- Act as a thought leader on emerging analytics trends and provide strategic insights to adopt the latest tools, technologies, and methodologies.
- Implement policies and standards to ensure consistency, ethical use of data, and compliance with data protection regulations across the organization
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data professionals and foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and professional development.
- Effectively manage interpersonal dynamics within the team, driving change and creating a culture of continuous improvement
- Partner closely with cross-functional leaders to understand business objectives, identify data gaps, and deliver actionable insights to solve business problems
- Collaborate with the Data Management Manager and other business leaders to ensure high-quality, accessible data that supports analytics functions and decision-making
- Provide oversight and deliver critical presentations to executives and other stakeholders, explaining technical concepts and insights in business terms
- Optimize existing analytics platforms (Power BI and Oracle Analytics Server) to ensure these tools are maximized for their capabilities to meet strategic business objectives
- Identify cost-effective ways to adopt and implement advanced analytics
- Plan and prioritize analytical projects to ensure effective use of team resources
- Ensure compliance with all relevant data protection regulations and standards.
- Support internal and external audits related to analytics functions and any DOE and NNSA requirements
- Drive continuous improvement efforts by evaluating emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in data management and analytics.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to regularly monitor performance and ensure optimization of BI and Analytical Solutions and Data Integration and Systems functions
- Partner with cross-functional teams to consolidate data inputs, identify data gaps and risks, and deliver timely, accurate insights aligned with operational objectives
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in relevant field plus at least five years of experience (YOE) in one or more of the roles managed, OR Master's degree in relevant field plus three or more years of experience (YOE) in one or more of the roles managed, OR eight or more years of experience (YOE) as an individual contributor in one or more of the roles managed.
Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered
- Proficiency in data analytics technologies and tools (SQL, ETL processes, RPD tools).
We'd Also Like to See
Knowledge of Oracle Analytic Server (OAS) suite of tools, Informatica, Oracle relational database, server administration and knowledge of technical systems and concepts. Extensive experience with Power BI, reporting concepts, SQL, report generation/layout and ETL concepts. Additionally, to support and guide team members, demonstrated experience with the following is a plus:
- Advanced BI Data Modeling experience conducive to Star Schema Enterprise reporting models.
- Advanced technical knowledge with BI Administration Tool.
- Advanced experience in the application and use of metadata tools, security, and user interface designs.
- Proven experience with Oracle relational database management systems using SQL and PL/SQL, including writing and/or troubleshooting complex queries, procedures, etc.
- Knowledge of enterprise data architecture, cloud analytics, AI/ML enablement, automation and self-service analytics programs.
- Experience working with customers to gain an understanding of their business requirements and assist with translating the information into system requirements.
- Detailed knowledge of Oracle Database, Informatica, DAC, WebLogic and OAS application components.
- Prior experience leading or managing data analytics efforts is preferred.
- Proven experience leading or mentoring a team of data analytics professionals is ideal.
- Experience developing strong data analytics strategies and policies.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL to build and automate data workflows.
- Ability to design and maintain effective data architecture that supports organizational needs, including data modeling, schema design, and the creation of data pipelines.
In addition to the preferred technical qualifications, an ideal candidate for the Data Analytics Manager would have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, strong leadership and organizational skills, and the ability to adapt and manage multiple priorities.

Security Clearance Information
