Job Title: Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist – Cath Lab Tech (Electrophysiology Experience Required)
Location: Hyannis, MA 02601 (Travel Assignment)
Shift: Day Shift (07:00 AM – 03:30 PM / 08:00 AM – 04:30 PM / 09:00 AM – 05:30 PM)
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (Temp-to-Perm Opportunity)
Hours: 40 hours/week (8-hour shifts, 5 days/week)
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Cath Lab Technologist) with strong Electrophysiology (EP) experience to support a high-performing cardiac catheterization laboratory. This role involves assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures while ensuring optimal patient care, safety, and procedural accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures (scrubbing, circulating, monitoring)
- Operate imaging and interventional equipment following radiation safety protocols
- Monitor and document hemodynamic data throughout procedures
- Support Electrophysiology (EP) procedures and maintain program standards
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields, instruments, and procedural equipment
- Assist with contrast media administration under physician supervision
- Provide patient care, education, and emotional support during procedures
- Safely transfer and position patients on procedure tables and equipment
- Perform routine equipment checks and ensure procedural readiness
- Maintain supply inventory and support efficient lab operations
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams for optimal workflow
- Diagnostic and endovascular procedures (Aortogram, Carotid, AV Fistula, Venograms)
- Interventional procedures (Embolization, IVC Filter placement, Dialysis access interventions, TIPS, PICC, Biopsies)
- Non-vascular procedures (Drain placement, G/J tubes, Kidney tubes, Biliary procedures)
- Strong Cath Lab experience with Electrophysiology (EP) exposure required
- Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and interventional imaging systems
- Experience working in high-acuity, fast-paced procedural environments
- Knowledge of radiation safety practices and sterile technique protocols
- Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Associate Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or related field
OR - Equivalent combination of education and relevant Cath Lab experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required
- IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) – Required
- One or more of the following:
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
- CI (Cardiac Interventional Certification)
- VI (Vascular Interventional Certification)
- ARRT (if applicable)
- Massachusetts State Licensure (if applicable)
- On-call rotation (nights, weekends, and holidays as required)
- Ability to wear lead protective gear for extended periods
- Flexibility to manage varying case complexity and patient needs
