Job Description Summary

AAM is lookin for a Business Systems Analyst to join the team at our World Headquarters in Detroit, MI.

Job Description:

  • Facilitate end-to-end processing of Supplier Change Requests (SCRs) across North America and Mexico using Oracle R12, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and traceability.
  • Guide Buyers and Suppliers in applying the appropriate corporate processes for engineering changes, promoting consistency and efficiency.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings to resolve issues, remove bottlenecks, and drive SCRs to timely approval.
  • Initiate and manage PPAPs resulting from approved SCRs, ensuring submissions are accurate and completed within required timelines.
  • Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement of SCR and PPAP workflows, enhancing system usability and process efficiency.
  • Maintain and continuously improve SCR tracking and reporting tools to provide clear visibility of status, risks, and performance metrics.
  • Support program launches by participating in program reviews and coordinating activities aligned with Launch SQE priorities.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively escalate risks during the launch phase to Program Team and SQE leadership, enabling timely mitigation.
  • Monitor supplier APQP activities to ensure compliance with Dauch standards and on-time delivery of key milestones.
  • Partner with SQE to support supplier issue resolution and structured problem-solving activities.
  • Represent the organization professionally with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.
  • Support additional business needs as required in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Travel requirement: approximately 10%.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Business, Finance, Quality, or related field).
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in similar environment.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate ownership, and deliver results in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proven capability to lead cross-functional collaboration and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to present clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in systems and tools (e.g., Oracle or similar ERP platforms).
