Gateway Veterinary Surgery (GVS) is growing—and we’re excited to welcome a passionate Veterinary Technician/Assistant to our team! We are a concierge surgical practice working alongside board-certified veterinary surgeons and over 65 partner hospitals across the St. Louis metro area.

Schedule Options

• Part-Time: Tuesdays (7 AM – 5 PM) required, with optional additional days
• Full-Time: 35–40 hours/week, Monday–Friday with flexible scheduling

What You’ll Do

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and enjoys both hands-on patient care and teamwork.

Responsibilities include:

• Anesthesia monitoring (orthopedic & soft tissue procedures)
• Surgical prep, sterile technique, and OR assistance
• Instrument cleaning, sterilization, and pack preparation
• Patient handling, restraint, and radiology positioning
• Venipuncture and lab sample collection
• Surgical record keeping and reporting
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Collaborating with teammates and supporting partner clinics

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of veterinary technician experience (preferred)
• Surgical and anesthesia experience (strongly preferred)
• Veterinary technician licensure (RVT/LVT/CVT) or A.A.S. (preferred)
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
• A positive attitude and desire to grow within a team
