Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $16.28 - $17.30 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
Work Schedule: Shifts vary, must be able to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, weekends, midday, and evening shifts.
NATURE OF WORK
As a member of the Aquatics Division, individuals in this position are responsible for instructing, supervising and testing children and adults in Windsor’s learn-to-swim lesson programs. This position also helps organize and control classes under the direction of Lead Guard, Managers, and the Recreation Coordinator - Aquatics.
Part-time Swim Lesson Instructors may work at both the indoor or outdoor pool. The outdoor pool may be open from Memorial Day until Labor Day.

Individuals may work under the direct supervision/leadership of the Lead Guard, Pool Manager, and/or the Recreation Coordinator - Aquatics to carry out assigned duties, functions, roles, and projects in both routine and complex circumstances.

The physical requirements of this position are considered Medium Work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
The employee is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions; may be subject to extreme heat: temperatures to above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. subject to noise. The employee may be subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
The employee may be subject to atmospheric conditions: one or more of the follow conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gasses, or poor ventilation.
This position is considered safety-sensitive because the individual is responsible for their safety as well as the safety of others. Performing these job functions under the influence of drugs or alcohol would pose significant dangers.
