Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree plus at least two years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant work experience to equal at least six years

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clinical or lab research experience
  • Experience working with patients
  • Experience pulling data from medical records
  • Familiarity with research rules:
    • IRB (ethics board approval)
    • GCP (Good Clinical Practice standards)
    • SOPs (standard procedures)
  • Comfort with Excel / Word / databases

Contributes to study start-up activities: document template creation, study training and site initiation visits. Identifies, recruits, screens and enrolls subjects onto clinical trials. Obtains informed consent from study participants. Collaborates with PI and other team members to met project objects, coordinates research procedures and study visits and follow-up care on multiple clinical trials in their portfolio. Collects and maintains participant research data including lab, imaging, survey data and enters in to study specific databases.

Responsibilities:

50% - Study coordination / working with patients & clinics

  • Assist Independent Trail Management/Coordination as a Study Coordinator
  • Work with providers, clinic staff and investigators for management of study portfolio
  • Scrub schedules and review potential patients with providers and clinic staff
  • Approach patients for consent and study participation
  • Assist with scheduling patient visit in compliance with study protocols

35% - Data collection & entry

  • Draft and complete case report forms using databases and protocols as a guide
  • Assist with procedures are completed at completed at designated visits to get the data points needed
  • Enter data into study specific databases with a study specific timelines
  • Answer study queries and database checks as needed

15% - Study setup / planning

  • Evaluation of feasibility, implementation operations and start-up activities
  • Work with Director of Research Operations and Program Manager for timelines of study start up
  • Draft case report forms to determine study visits and data elements
