Job Title: Accounting & Office Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Accounting & Office Assistant to support daily financial and administrative operations. This role includes accounts payable and receivable, general bookkeeping, and front office responsibilities. The position also assists with maintaining the company’s social media presence and website updates.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, motivated, and looking to grow into an Office Manager role within the next 2–3 years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Assist with general bookkeeping and financial record keeping
- Accept customer payments and assist with account setup and inquiries
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and assist walk-in customers
- Prepare and organize documents, reports and correspondence
- Maintain accurate and organized filing systems
- Assist with updating social media platforms and company website
- Provide administrative support to the office manager, electric, water and sewer departments
- Perform other related duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage time and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bilingual preferred but not required
Education and Experience:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience
- Previous clerical, administrative, or accounting experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods and work at a computer
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
Schedule and Compensation:
- Full time/40 hours per week
- Salary is negotiable based on experience/qualifications
