Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery

Location: Syracuse, NY 13215
Shift: Mid Shift (12x3)
Schedule: 01:00 PM – 09:00 PM
Hours per Week: 36
Duration: 13 Weeks

Overview:

A healthcare facility is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to join its Labor & Delivery unit on a travel assignment. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment, with the opportunity to float between Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care in the Labor & Delivery setting
• Perform patient assessments and respond promptly to clinical needs
• Circulate during C-section procedures (scrubbing experience preferred)
• Float between Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery units as required
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
• Operate effectively with minimal supervision after orientation

Required Qualifications:

• Active New York State RN license/registration
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain)
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent experience (within the last 2 years) in an acute care facility
• Experience in hospitals of similar or greater size/acuity (required for travel nurses)
• Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• Successful completion of pre-employment health screening, drug test, and background check

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
• Experience in circulating C-sections (scrubbing preferred)

Additional Requirements:

• No history of license suspension, investigation, or professional liability claims
• Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments and workflows
