Automotive Restoration, Fabrication, Body Work & Refinishing

Job Description

Countryside Customs Inc.

“Quality for the discerning.”

Position: Body Technician / Sheet Metal Fabricator

Countryside Customs Inc. is a high-end custom automotive shop specializing in award-caliber restorations, bespoke fabrication, and OEM-plus performance builds. We are seeking skilled, detail-obsessed technicians who take pride in craftsmanship and refuse to cut corners.

This is not production work—this is precision, artistry, and legacy-level builds.

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Hand-fabricated panels and structural modifications
  • Precision bodywork and panel alignment
  • High-end paint prep and finishing processes

Key Responsibilities

Body Technician

  • Perform high-level bodywork including:
  • Panel alignment, gap setting, and surface refinement
  • Blocking, sanding, and prep for show-quality paint
  • Identify and correct imperfections to a near-perfect finish standard
  • Work closely with fabrication and paint teams to ensure continuity of quality

Sheet Metal Technician / Fabricator

  • Fabricate and modify sheet metal components from scratch
  • Perform:

  • MIG/TIG welding and metal finishing
  • Execute custom modifications with OEM-plus fit and appearance
  • Repair or recreate rusted/damaged panels with precision

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong attention to detail (non-negotiable)
  • Pride in craftsmanship and finished product
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for classic cars, custom builds, and fabrication

Preferred Experience:

  • Automotive bodywork or restoration experience
  • Sheet metal fabrication and welding experience
  • Experience with high-end or show-quality builds
  • Understanding of panel fitment, symmetry, and finish standards

What This Job Is NOT

  • Not a collision shop environment
  • Not high-volume / insurance work
  • Not for someone looking to “just get by”

What Sets Countryside Customs Apart

  • We build cars that turn heads and win awards
  • We focus on quality over quantity—always
  • Every project is treated as a one-of-one build

Compensation & Growth
