Job Summary
ND Global Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a qualified Temporary Graphic Designer Support Specialist for a short-term onsite assignment in New York, NY.
The selected candidate will support public affairs and communications design work, including newsletters, flyers, presentations, brochures, forms, event materials, and internal video support. The ideal candidate must be skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, and should have experience creating ADA-compliant PDF documents.
Key Responsibilities
  • Create monthly employee newsletters using Adobe InDesign.
  • Prepare final newsletter files as ADA-compliant PDFs.
  • Create outreach event flyers using pre-existing Adobe InDesign templates.
  • Export flyers and other materials as ADA-compliant PDFs.
  • Design invitations, posters, event programs, PowerPoint presentations, factsheets, guides, brochures, PDF forms, and informational materials.
  • Provide support for internal video recordings and video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Assist with submitting monthly reports and outreach flyers to the Government Publications Portal.
  • Coordinate with translation vendors when documents require translation.
  • Support promotional item requisitions and vendor production by providing artwork and design markups.
  • Follow client branding, accessibility, documentation, and recordkeeping requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following:
Option 1:
Bachelor's degree with a major in fine arts, graphic arts, graphic design, visual communications, or a related field, plus at least 1 year of full-time paid experience as a commercial or graphic artist.
OR
Option 2:
High school diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years of technical school training in design, layout, computer graphics, painting, black-and-white design, or related art media, plus at least 3 years of full-time paid experience as a commercial or graphic artist.
Required Skills
  • Strong experience with Adobe InDesign.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Ability to create professional layouts for print and digital materials.
  • Ability to prepare ADA-compliant PDFs.
  • Strong typography, layout, and visual communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and production skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in New York, NY.
  • Portfolio required.
Preferred Skills
  • Adobe Premiere Pro experience.
  • Adobe After Effects experience.
  • Basic HTML knowledge.
  • Experience making PDF, Word, and Excel files ADA-compliant.
  • Experience designing newsletters, public-sector communications, outreach flyers, brochures, and event materials.
  • Experience working with government, nonprofit, legal, or public-facing communications teams.
