Pay: Starting at $15 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM–2:30 PM, required
Must be available for key floral holidays, including Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving Eve, and Christmas Eve.

Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable, creative, and detail-oriented Floral Assistant to join our growing floral and event team in Chadds Ford, PA.
This position is responsible for assisting with floral production, event floral arrangements, flower processing, customer service, order taking, POS checkout, and general studio support. The Floral Assistant will work closely with our floral designers and help keep the studio organized, efficient, and prepared for daily orders, weddings, events, holidays, and retail customers.
The ideal candidate has some floral, retail, customer service, or creative production experience and enjoys working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Applicants must be willing to work Saturdays, scheduled event dates, non-traditional hours when needed, and key floral holidays.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesFloral & Studio Assistance
- Assist floral designers with daily arrangements, event flowers, wedding work, and floral production.
- Help prepare, process, and care for fresh flowers, greenery, plants, and floral materials.
- Receive, inspect, and prepare flowers for storage.
- Follow Green Meadows Florist’s design style, brand standards, and quality guidelines.
- Help organize, stage, and prepare orders for pickup, delivery, weddings, and events.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient studio work area.
- Move flowers, buckets, vases, containers, and floral pieces in and out of the cooler.
- Assist with general studio duties as needed.
Customer Service & Administrative Support
- Greet customers and assist with basic floral orders.
- Answer incoming phone calls when needed.
- Email and call customers regarding orders, pickups, deliveries, and event details.
- Checkout customers using the POS system.
- Assist with basic administrative tasks, including typing, email management, data entry, and calendar coordination.
- Interact with customers, vendors, and team members in a professional and courteous manner.
Events, Deliveries & Operations
- Assist with weddings, events, and larger floral installations as needed.
- Travel to wedding and event sites when needed.
- Make local deliveries when needed.
- Help with setup and breakdown for weddings and events.
- Open and/or close the shop when scheduled.
- Comply with a flexible work schedule, including Saturdays, event dates, and floral holidays.
Preferred Experience
- Floral design or floral production experience.
- Retail flower shop experience.
- Wedding or event setup experience.
- Customer service experience.
- Basic POS, computer, or order-entry experience.
- Creative, hands-on work experience.

- Ability to stand for most of the workday.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, lift, and carry throughout the day.
- Ability to lift approximately 15–25 lbs.
- Ability to carry buckets of water.
- Ability to move large floral pieces, plants, vases, containers, and event materials.
- Ability to move items in and out of the cooler.
- Ability to climb ladders at events when needed.
- Ability to work on your feet for up to 90% of the day.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment during holidays and events.
Requirements
- Must be available Tuesday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, and Saturdays, 10:00 AM–2:30 PM.

- Must be willing to work non-traditional hours when needed for weddings and events.
- Must be dependable, punctual, organized, and customer-focused.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Excellent driving record preferred.
- Floral, event, retail, or customer service experience preferred.
