MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS 2+ years-experience in sheetline and film extrusion High School graduate or equivalent Employee must have a valid driver’s license. 5s and lean manufacturing education/practice. Employee must possess general math and literary skills. Some experience with Microsoft Excel and Word software would be helpful but may not be required. Responsibilities
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Attend daily shift meetings lead by supervisor
Troubleshoot and evaluate extrusion machines and make the necessary
adjustments to ensure prescribed quality and production standards are
achieved and maintained.
Arrive 15 minutes before shift to start required presses for the day and to discuss possible issues with previous shift’s Process Technician.
Ensure material for oncoming operator is at full levels.
Implement lean manufacturing methods.
Troubleshoot and evaluate extrusion and make the necessary adjustments to ensure prescribed quality and production standards are achieved and maintained.
Extrusion set-up, processing, identifying process issues.
Follow all procedures for pulling material and charging back at the end of
every lot.
Follow instructions of management.
Ensure all paperwork is completed, providing timely, detailed information in end of shift note to other supervisors, managers and departments.
Maintain Quality Control sheets every 30 minutes, start of every work order. Maintain a run sheet filling out 4 times per day and keeping a record of every run every day.
Maintain a daily line journal. Maintain daily maintenance of extrusion line and records.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures (i.e., quality policy manual, employee handbook, lock out/Tag out, etc.).
Comply with all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping in all areas of the facility.
