A brief job description is as follows but is not limited to:
  • The primary function of this role includes operating non-CDL straight trucks and vans, transporting product to and from each retail store, product pickups from local vendors and completing customer deliveries.
  • Completes employee van routes as scheduled that primarily serve Walnut Creek Cheese & Market retail stores and WCF Manufacturing.
  • Assist the Warehouse team with receiving of inbound deliveries as needed and scheduled.
  • Empty cardboard and trash from both stores to the compactors and dumpsters.
  • Assist with the upkeep of maintaining building and grounds that includes but is not limited to – assisting with periodic cleanings, snow removal and putting ice down on store sidewalks.
  • Responsible for the safe operation of company vehicles or equipment and immediately alerting the Operations Support Manager to any accidents or concerns while driving company vehicles.
  • Report any van and truck maintenance/repair related issues to Driver Leads or the Operations Support Manager in their absence.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the straight trucks, vans and any other company vehicles being utilized.
  • Refuel and monitor refueling of company vehicles – vans must be left with at least ¾ full tanks before end of shift.
  • Day-to-day responsibilities may vary depending on transportation and warehouse operational needs.
  • Position will on average work 40 hours per week (may include overtime depending on operational needs).
  • This position will require working most Saturday’s (may vary depending on operational needs).

Requirements
Job Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age with a good MVR to hold this position.
  • This is a full-time position.
  • Must be willing and able to safely use the following equipment: Mini-vans, Passenger vans, Cargo Vans, Automatic and Manual Straight trucks (Non-CDL), Forklift and Pallet jack (training will be given for license to use electric powered equipment) and scissor lift.

Physical Requirements
Job requires lifting, bending, standing, walking, carrying, pulling, pushing, sitting, and driving.
