The Production Supervisor oversees daily operations on the production floor to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. This role leads a team of production employees, coordinates workflow, resolves issues in real time, and ensures production targets and deadlines are consistently achieved.
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production employees to meet production schedules and quality standards.
- Monitor workflow, assign tasks, and manage labor to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment; enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety checks.
- Provide on-the-floor coaching, direction, and feedback to production staff; assist in performance evaluations and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Troubleshoot production issues, equipment breakdowns, or delays in coordination with maintenance and engineering teams.
- Ensure accurate reporting of production metrics, downtime, scrap, and other operational data.
- Lead start-of-shift meetings and communicate daily goals and expectations clearly to the team.
- Partner with Quality Assurance to uphold product standards and quickly address quality concerns.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and encourage team engagement in problem-solving.
- Manage timekeeping, attendance, and basic administrative tasks for team members.
- Associates degree required, bachelor’s degree preferred, or 5 years’ experience in manufacturing in lieu of degree
- At least three (2) years' supervisory experience in a manufacturing/production setting
- Strong understanding of production processes, workflow management, and safety regulations.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with production systems, ERP software, and basic Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to work flexible hours or shifts, including overtime, weekends, or holidays as required.
- Achieve UPH productivity targets.

The pay range for this position is $72,989 – $80,455 and is eligible for an annual bonus.
