Project Manager (Transportation, All Offices)

Job Description

Horner & Shifrin is seeking a full-time Project Manager in our Transportation business unit. This position requires 10+ years of experience.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Interact and communicate with clients, vendors and staff of all levels
  • Ability to lead, manage and schedule staff to meet project needs
  • Track multiple projects simultaneously to keep jobs on schedule and under budget
  • Perform transportation engineering analyses and calculations
  • Prepare and write engineering and other reports
  • Maintain and develop strong client relationships
  • Develop business in the Illinois, Missouri or Arkansas region
  • Field visits on rough terrain per project needs Other duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience working directly with the Illinois Department of Transportation, Missouri Department of Transportation or Arkansas Department of Transportation and local municipalities
  • Existing business development relationships
  • Licensed professional engineer in Illinois, Missouri or Arkansas
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Experience using at least one CADD platform (MicroStation or AutoCAD)
  • Knowledge of at least one highway design package (OpenRoads, Geopak, or Civil3D)
  • Critical thinking and analysis
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license Must complete a background check

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

B.S. in Civil Engineering

SALARY RANGE:

Horner & Shifrin, Inc. offers a comprehensive total rewards package and is committed to fair, competitive, market-based compensation. The target salary range for this position is $95,000 to $145,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location.
