Coordinator

Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Dispatch Coordinator from a trucking environment — someone who understands how a transport operation works, and the impact of getting the wrong truck to the wrong job. This is not a driving role. It’s a coordination position where your industry experience will be key to making smart, practical dispatch decisions. A Class 5 licence is highly valued, but success in this role comes down to your ability to plan, prioritise, and manage the moving parts of a busy transport operation. What you’ll be doing - Planning and coordinating daily and weekly transport jobs - Dispatching work efficiently — matching the right trucks to the right jobs - Acting as the main point of contact for drivers and operations - Managing supplier enquiries, quotes, and logistics coordination - Supporting weighbridge operations and transaction processing - Maintaining accurate dispatch records and system updates - Supporting site H&S and compliance requirements What we’re really looking for - Proven experience in dispatch, transport coordination, or logistics planning - Background in trucking or heavy transport (essential) - Strong understanding of fleet capability and job allocation decisions - Confident using systems and admin processes - Able to communicate clearly with drivers and make decisions under pressure - High attention to detail and strong organisational skills Bonus points for: Class 5 licence Why this role stands out - Step into a key operational role where your experience really matters - Join a solid, down-to-earth team in a busy environment - Work for a long-standing, well-run business - Great opportunity to transition into a more strategic logistics role Keen to know more?
