Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Residential Setting

$20/hour | Full-Time | 13-Week Contract

We are currently seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with severe and persistent mental illness, with multiple openings across Adams, North Adams, and Williamstown, MA .

Position Overview

As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide hands-on assistance and support to individuals in a residential or community setting, helping them maintain safety, dignity, and independence.

• Modality: Direct Support Professional

• Openings: 18

• Locations: Adams, North Adams, Pittsfield, West Stockbridge, Clarksburg, and Williamstown

• Start Date: ASAP (target start date 05/03/2026 )

• Contract Length: 13 weeks to start (high likelihood of extension)

• Hours per Week: Up to 40 hours per week available

• Shifts / Shift Days: Various shifts available

• Pay Rate: $20/hour

Physical Requirement: Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Qualifications

• Experience:

• Prior experience working with adults who have severe and persistent mental illness is preferred

• No prior experience required for candidates who are interested and motivated to work with this population

• Ability to provide compassionate, dependable, and professional care

• Must be able to meet physical and compliance requirements

• BLS Certification

• Client has an on-site BLS instructor available at no cost

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or its equivalent

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks
