Koehler Instrument Company is seeking a Domestic Sales Representative to join our sales team in Holtsville, NY. This position is ideal for someone local to Long Island or the surrounding area who is early in their career and looking to grow in a technical sales environment.

The role will support domestic sales activities across the United States, including customer follow-up, quotation tracking, CRM updates, lead development, and coordination with internal technical, service, and marketing teams. This is a full-time, in-person position based at our Holtsville office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow up on customer inquiries, leads, quotations, and open opportunities.
  • Support domestic sales efforts across assigned U.S. territories.
  • Communicate with customers to understand their testing needs and help connect them with the appropriate Koehler products.
  • Work closely with sales, technical, service, and marketing teams.
  • Maintain accurate customer activity, calls, meetings, and opportunity updates in CRM.
  • Assist with preparing quotes, sales reports, customer follow-ups, and account research.
  • Help identify new customer opportunities and support outreach efforts.
  • Participate in product training to develop knowledge of Koehler’s testing instrumentation.
  • Support customer visits, product demonstrations, and trade show preparation as needed.

Qualifications

  • 1–5 years of relevant experience preferred in sales, customer service, technical support, laboratory equipment, scientific instruments, industrial equipment, or a related field.
  • Recent graduates with strong internship, sales, customer-facing, technical, or lab experience will also be considered.
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Chemistry, Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills.
  • Interest in technical sales, laboratory equipment, scientific instruments, or industrial markets.
  • Comfortable speaking with customers by phone and email.
  • Willingness to learn technical products and industry applications.
  • Local to Long Island or the surrounding area and able to work in person at our Holtsville, NY office.

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
