As a Dog Grooming Specialist, you’re at the heart of that experience. You create a calm, positive environment for every dog, build real relationships with pet parents, and take pride in delivering beautiful, thoughtful grooms. You’ll also guide guests on the best services, add-ons, and routines to keep their dogs healthy, comfortable, and looking their best.If you love your craft, enjoy connecting with people, and want to grow with a brand that’s building something special across Illinois, we’d love to meet you
Pay: $17 per hour PLUS TIPS. All tips paid out same-day!
Schedule:
- We are open 9a-5p
- Full Time and Part Time opportunities available
- Weekend availability required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

What You’ll Do:
- Consult with pet parents to understand goals and recommend appropriate services and add ons
- Provide safe, high quality baths and prep work for grooming services
- Drive upgrade services and support membership growth
- Perform: baths, blowouts, brush outs, nail trims, and ear cleaning, gland expressions, dematting, desheds and ear plucking.
- Assess coat condition, behavior, and overall comfort
- Maintain clean, organized workstations and shop space
- Communicate clearly with the front desk and leadership team
- Uphold Bowie Barker standards for care, safety, and quality
- Be an active, supportive part of our team
Who You Are:
- 2+ years experience in professional dog bathing
- Confident in safely handling dogs 60 pounds and up
- Able to stand for 8+ hours a day
- Detail oriented and take pride in your work
- Reliable, accountable, and team focused
- Open to feedback and excited to grow into more responsibility
