responsibilities:

The Accounting background experience is the primary focus of this position. This position will oversee

all financial and accounting functions within the organization that will also include:

? Monitoring A/P and A/R

? Generating financial statements

? Cash Management

? Assist in year-end audit

? Budgeting and Forecasting

Consignment Inventory/Grower Accounting

Responsible for making sure the accounting for goods received on consignment are properly

accounted for in the Final Account of Sales. This includes:

? Ensuring that all expenses related to each shipment are accounted for

? Monitoring open accounts receivables (unpaids)

? Processing invoice adjustments

? Remitting payments to suppliers

? Preparation of annual supplier contracts

FOOD SAFETY & COMPLIANCE- will train if needed

Oversee the employee who ensures that products meet regulatory food safety standards, safety

guidelines, proper labeling, and quality requirements. Experience with CTPAT and other supply chain

security programs a plus.

BRAND DEVELOPMENT- will train if needed

Working with social media, print and digital content to promote the company's brand. Experience

working on brand awareness, content creation, and promotional campaigns a plus

HUMAN RESOURCES- will train if needed

This position will oversee the HR department that will include administrating the company

medical/dental and benefit plans (policy renewals, new hires, etc.), employee relations, performance

management. Familiarity with compliance of labor laws a plu



qualifications:

Experience and Skills Needed:

? BS degree- Accounting, Finance, or related field-

? Several years of professional accounting, auditing or GAAP experience preferably with

exposure to fresh produce or the perishable food industry

? Highly organized, detail oriented, high sense of urgency to complete tasks in a timely manner

and under changing business conditions

? Microsoft Office 365 expertise (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)

? Proficiency in accrual accounting

? Consignment Inventory experience- preferred

? Familiar with Itrade, Procurant, FoodlogiQ, CTPAT or PACA a plus

? Specialized software - experience with "Prophet" ERP a plus
