The Evercake is a boutique online bakery located in Manhattan. We are known for our delicious cakes, patient customer service, and for having an eye for highly custom and high-end cake design. We take pride in every detail, from flavor to finish. We are looking for a creative, dedicated young professional to join our team to learn, grow and also bring some of their own techniques.

Part-time Cake Decorator Role

You'll work closely with our small team of four to bring customer orders to life. You'll handle inventory, buttercream production, cake layering and filling, frosting and piping details, floral design, as well as finishing touches on a variety of big and small cakes every day. Shifts are flexible and ideal for someone looking to build their decorating career in a supportive, creative environment.

Responsibilities

Decorate custom cakes using buttercream and piping techniques

• Assembling and labeling boxes, painting signage, writing greeting cards
• Work with fondant from time to time for small cake props

Maintain consistency with design specifications and customer requests

Keep decorating station clean and organized

Collaborate with the team to meet daily production goals

Handle finished products with care for packaging and delivery hand-off

Requirements

1–3 years of cake decorating or pastry experience

Familiar with buttercream production, piping and decorating

Strong attention to detail

A passion for learning new techniques and keeping up with trends

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Reliable, punctual team player

Compensation
