Litigation Attorney
Established (30+ Years) Premier Firm Seeking Litigation Associate for Civil Litigation in Cleveland, Ohio
An established firm based in Cleveland, Ohio with over 30+ years in practice is seeking a Litigation Associate with 4-7 years of experience to join their team in an onsite work arrangement. This Litigation Associate will have experience handling civil litigation matters in state and federal court, taking an active role in case strategy, motion practice, discovery, and client-facing advocacy while working closely with experienced trial attorneys.
Offer:
Salary range: $130,000-$160,000+ contingent on experience

Qualifications:
4-7 years of civil litigation experience in state and or federal courts
Demonstrated experience drafting substantive motions and legal briefs
Experience taking and defending fact and expert depositions
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple litigation matters with minimal supervision
Client-focused mindset with strong professional judgment
Active Ohio law license in good standing or ability to waive in promptly
Responsibilities:
Handle all phases of litigation from early case assessment through resolution
Draft and argue substantive motions and briefs in state and federal court
Take and defend fact and expert depositions
Manage written discovery in an efficient and strategic manner
Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and trials
Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel
Collaborate with partners and associates on litigation strategy and execution
Track billable time accurately and in accordance with firm standards
