POSITION: Admissions Representative & Regional Recruiter (PCN 01095854)

CLASSIFICATION: MnSCU Academic Professional 2 (1132 – College Admissions)

STARTING DATE: Approximately May 25, 2026

APPOINTMENT: Full Time, Unlimited

SALARY RANGE: $25.67 – $37.26/hour ($53,599 – 77,799/annually)

RESPONSIBILITIES

This year-round position supports Alexandria Technical & Community College’s recruitment and enrollment efforts by actively representing the college to prospective domestic and international students across Minnesota and designated regional markets. The role focuses on building awareness of ATCC’s high‑demand workforce programs and transfer pathways through high school visits, college and career fairs, campus tours, presentations, community events, and special recruiting activities that require travel and overnight stays. The incumbent guides prospective students through program selection and admissions processes, provides first‑level support related to academic and non‑academic questions, and assists with application processing and matriculation. The position also builds and maintains relationships with high school counselors, educators, businesses, and campus partners, utilizes CRM systems to document and support student engagement, and collaborates internally to ensure accurate admissions information and a smooth enrollment experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· One-year experience in an educational recruitment or admissions setting; an Associate’s degree in higher education, student affairs, international relations, psychology, sales, communications, liberal arts, or related field can substitute for six months of experience.

· Demonstrated intercultural competency sufficient to successfully interact and communicate with students and family, or other support relations, from diverse backgrounds.

· Verbal and written English communication skills sufficient to understand and effectively carry out complex oral and written directions.

· Customer service skills sufficient to elicit and provide information with tact and diplomacy and interpret and explain complicated information in a courteous, professional, and understandable manner to diverse population by phone, in-person and by e-mail.

· Proficiency in computer use (applications such as: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Salesforce, Workday, and telephone-related software, customer relations software)

· Previous experience providing group presentations in-person and remotely via video conferencing software

· Ability to travel in the State of Minnesota with a valid driver’s license (cannot have more than 2 moving violations in the last 5 years).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in higher education, student affairs, international relations, psychology, sales, communications, liberal arts, or related field.

· Work with international students and F-1 visas; Serve as Designed School Official (DSO).

· Demonstrated knowledge of college recruitment concepts and procedures.

· The competency to perform research using a variety of educational resources along with the knowledge of diploma, degree, and certificate requirements is essential.

· Knowledge of and ability to understand and apply state and federal regulatory laws, such as the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Minnesota Data Privacy Act.

· Prior experience working with customer relationship management software.

· Bilingual or working proficiency in Spanish or Somali.
