Scotts Bluff County Equipment Operator II

Scotts Bluff County Road & Bridge Department is hiring an Equipment Operator II.

Work involves operating a motor grader in assigned district, work involving dragging and scrapping roads, grading roads, cutting water channels along roadside, plowing snow and related road maintenance functions; change various equipment attachments including snowplow, sander and motor grader blades.

General road maintenance duties such as cutting brush and trees, repairing asphalt and concrete surfaces, installing and removing snow fence and picking up trash; perform general bridge construction duties including repairing and maintaining culverts, building forms, pouring and finishing concrete, removing and replacing damaged sign posts, bridge planks and railings, and welding steel bridge girders, support brackets and pilings

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; heavy equipment experience, possession of a valid Nebraska driver’s license with CDL Class B endorsement.

Must pass background check and DOT drug & alcohol screening. This position qualifies for Veteran’s Preference. Scotts Bluff County is an EEO/AA employer.
