Job Description

COMPENSATION: $16.00/hour

HOURS:10-15 hours/week

SCHEDULE: Monday-Thursday between 3:30 pm-10:00 pm; Friday between 3:30 pm-7:00 pm; Saturday between 11:30 am-6:30 pm; and Sunday between 11:30 am-8:00 pm.


SUMMARY OF POSITION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide front-line customer service at the information desk
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace
  • Support daily operations and student engagement

DUTIES:

Customer Service & Information Support – 40%

  • Answer phones and respond to questions about campus services, events, and resources
  • Provide directions and distribute forms, maps, and informational materials

Administrative & Operational Tasks – 30%

  • Check in guests and follow visitor protocols
  • Log daily activity and issues requiring follow-up
  • Report maintenance or safety concerns
  • Assist with lost-and-found and room/equipment reservations

Communication & Engagement – 15%

  • Provide friendly, inclusive customer service
  • De-escalate concerns or refer to appropriate staff
  • Promote campus programs and serve as a positive campus ambassador

Technology & Systems – 10%

  • Operate office equipment and assist with student ID printing, ensuring proper documentation

Miscellaneous Duties – 5%

  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.
  • Support special events or assist with wayfinding as needed


QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain client confidentiality.
  • Excellent computer software skills – Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel, email, and electronic calendar.
  • Excellent keyboarding skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
  • Proven interpersonal skills (ability to work well with a variety of people).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to pay attention to detail and demonstrate accuracy.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Able to work independently and with a team.
Preferred:
  • Office experience.
  • Experience in and understanding of CampusConnection software.
