Acre Portfolio Ld-Soy
As the leader for the overall soy acre product portfolio, you develop and implement strategic plans that align with our long-range vision, drive market performance and profitability, and support our financial and regenerative agriculture goals; You position and evolve our brands, optimize the product mix across indications, and translate market trends, customer feedback, and competitive insights into bold, data-driven decisions that unlock sustainable growth; Partnering closely with marketing, sales, operations, supply chain, and foundation planning, you ensure cohesive execution of franchise strategies, robust seedstock plans, and effective lifecycle management; You also foster strong relationships with internal and external partners to support their success and ensure alignment with our brand vision and objectives.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role are to:
Develop and own the plan to deliver annual business results across indications for the overall $1B soy business, aligned with the long-range plan;
Manage the overall soy acre product portfolio and lead lifecycle management (LCM) decisions that meet financial and regenerative agriculture goals;
Lead and contribute to the crop's five-year strategic planning process, resulting in a recommended Year 1 budget that aligns with corporate and customer-facing team targets;
Determine Gross-to-Net (pricing and market funding) for branded and licensed trait and/or germplasm products in close collaboration with customer-facing teams;
Lead the Seed Portfolio Management sub-team to develop and implement contingency plans for broad in-season issues and provide leadership on other Commercial Operations Teams as needed;
Co-create tactical strategies for supply management and obsolescence with customer-facing teams and supply chain, and partner with foundation planning to build seedstock crop plans that deliver on the long-range plan;
Coach and develop the Seed Brand Portfolio Expert responsible for Y+1 production planning volumes and individual product pricing, and help build a pipeline of high-potential future leaders;
Actively participate in the Solutions & Launch Soy Acre sub-team to identify and integrate cross-product opportunities into portfolio planning;
Provide collaborative leadership on marketing tactics and market funding budgets that drive overall U.S. sales and remain in line with the strategic plan;
Develop and maintain deep knowledge of industry dynamics, including competitive trait offerings and market share, and guide germplasm and trait portfolio development within brand families to meet evolving customer needs.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree;
Demonstrated ability to lead and influence key stakeholders through challenges and opportunities, including cross-functional teams without direct reporting relationships;
Strategic, critical thinker with strong business acumen and understanding of ROI on key investments;
Strong analytical skills, including comprehension of basic statistics and mastery of MS Excel and/or other data analysis and visualization tools;
Results orientation with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously;
Excellent oral and written communication skills to onboard, motivate, and engage others at all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
MS and/or MBA
10+ years of experience leading teams or projects in Sales, Marketing, or a technical role, combined with row crops experience;
Experience in portfolio management, product lifecycle management, or franchise leadership within agriculture or related industries.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $165,920.00- $248,880.00 .Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..
