Position Title: Hospital Pharmacist (Contract) – Rotating Day/Evening Shifts
Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Duration: 20 Weeks
Schedule: 40 Hours per Week

• Rotating Day/Evening Shifts
• Rotating Weekends (7:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
• Occasional Overnight Coverage as Needed

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Hospital Pharmacist for a contract assignment in an acute care setting. This role requires strong clinical expertise, hands-on experience with EPIC systems, and flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and occasional overnight coverage. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret and process medication orders
• Maintain and update patient medication profiles using electronic systems
• Prepare and dispense medications, including:
  • IV admixtures
  • Chemotherapy agents
  • Parenteral nutrition
• Monitor drug therapy for interactions, contraindications, allergies, and dosing accuracy
• Perform pharmacokinetic dosing in accordance with established protocols
• Review culture and sensitivity (C&S) data to ensure appropriate antibiotic therapy
• Provide clinical consultation and drug information to healthcare providers, patients, and families
• Document clinical interventions and adverse drug reactions
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and medication use evaluations
• Serve as an active member of the Code Response Team

Qualifications

• Active Colorado Pharmacist License (required at time of submission)
• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy or higher)
• Minimum of 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience
• EPIC system experience required

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association
