Senior Smartsheet Consultant / Administrator
Overview / Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Smartsheet Consultant / Administrator to take ownership of an enterprise Smartsheet environment and serve as the primary expert supporting its ongoing operation and evolution. This role focuses on stabilizing, optimizing, and documenting current Smartsheet usage across the organization, while contributing to the planned transition to Microsoft 365-based tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary owner and senior administrator of the enterprise Smartsheet environment
Maintain continuity of business operations while documenting and rationalizing existing Smartsheet usage
Support strategy and execution of migrating workflows, data, and project management assets to Microsoft 365 tools
Administer and manage Core Smartsheet, Control Center, DataMesh, Data Shuttle, dashboards, reports, and automations
Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for critical Smartsheet solutions, especially within an EPMO environment
Ensure platform stability, performance, and proper access controls during the transition period
Support ownership transfer and ongoing administration of WorkApps and connected assets
Maintain governance over access, data usage, and solution design
Ensure adherence to security, permissions, and data handling practices
Document configurations and design decisions to reduce key-person dependency
Conduct analysis of existing Smartsheet solutions across departments
Document workflows, data models, dependencies, automation logic, and reporting usage
Identify redundancies, risks, and opportunities for simplification prior to migration
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of hands-on experience as a Smartsheet Consultant or Administrator
Deep expertise in advanced formulas, Control Center, DataMesh, Data Shuttle, dashboards, reports, and automation
Proven experience managing complex, enterprise-scale Smartsheet implementations
Smartsheet Product Certification (Core, Advanced, or Solution Architect) preferred
Experience migrating Smartsheet workflows, data, and project management solutions to Microsoft 365, including:
Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
Teams, SharePoint, Planner / Project for the web
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 governance, permissions, and collaboration models
Experience with third-party migration, ETL, or integration tools
Exposure to Azure AD (Entra ID) for identity and access management
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language
Structured problem-solving approach and ability to manage ambiguity
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage parallel priorities
