Equipment Technician
Day Shift | Repair Shop
We are seeking an experienced Equipment Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing industrial and contractor equipment in a repair shop environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, safety-focused, and flexible with overtime as business needs require.
Work Schedule
- Day shift
- Overtime and weekend work as required
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, adjustments, maintenance, and repairs on equipment
- Diagnose and repair inverter welders, plasma cutters, and step-down transformers
- Troubleshoot and repair gas and diesel engines
- Accurately complete work orders and maintain an organized work area
- Ensure compliance with all safety, operational, and quality standards
- Support company health, safety, and environmental policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; technical school training preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years repairing tools, equipment, or machinery
- Construction equipment experience preferred
- Working knowledge of:
- Hydraulics
- Electrical systems and schematics
- Drivetrain components
- Gas and diesel engines
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb, and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Must supply own hand tools (bench equipment provided)
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Miller Electric certification
Physical & Work Environment
- Heavy lifting, climbing, grinding, and repetitive motions required
- Frequent exposure to heat, noise, humidity, and moving mechanical parts
- Required use of PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and hard hats

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Experience:
- welding machine repair: 3 years (Preferred)
- step down transformer repair: 2 years (Preferred)
- construction or farm equipment: 1 year (Preferred)
