Equipment Technician

Day Shift | Repair Shop

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing industrial and contractor equipment in a repair shop environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, safety-focused, and flexible with overtime as business needs require.

Work Schedule

• Day shift
• Overtime and weekend work as required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, adjustments, maintenance, and repairs on equipment
• Diagnose and repair inverter welders, plasma cutters, and step-down transformers
• Troubleshoot and repair gas and diesel engines
• Accurately complete work orders and maintain an organized work area
• Ensure compliance with all safety, operational, and quality standards
• Support company health, safety, and environmental policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; technical school training preferred
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years repairing tools, equipment, or machinery
• Construction equipment experience preferred
• Working knowledge of:
• Hydraulics
• Electrical systems and schematics
• Drivetrain components
• Gas and diesel engines
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb, and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Must supply own hand tools (bench equipment provided)
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Miller Electric certification

Physical & Work Environment

• Heavy lifting, climbing, grinding, and repetitive motions required
• Frequent exposure to heat, noise, humidity, and moving mechanical parts
• Required use of PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and hard hats

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Experience:

• welding machine repair: 3 years (Preferred)
• step down transformer repair: 2 years (Preferred)
• construction or farm equipment: 1 year (Preferred)
