Electrical CAD Drafter - Contract

We are seeking an Electrical CAD Drafter to produce accurate electrical drawings, as‑built documentation, and schematics from field notes and engineering designs. The ideal candidate has strong AutoCAD/Revit skills, good attention to detail, and experience with electrical drafting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update electrical construction drawings, single‑line diagrams, riser diagrams, panel schedules, and cable and conduit layouts
• Produce as‑built drawings from field sketches and marked plans
• Coordinate drawings with mechanical, architectural, and structural disciplines
• Prepare shop drawings and fabrication details as required
• Ensure compliance with NEC and project specifications and maintain CAD libraries and templates
• Revise drawings based on engineer/field feedback and maintain document control
• Assist with BOMs, material takeoffs, and basic quantity estimates

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as an electrical CAD drafter (commercial/industrial preferred)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit or BIM experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with electrical symbols, NEC requirements, panel schedules, and conduit/cable practices
• Strong drafting accuracy, layout skills, and ability to read electrical plans and single‑line diagrams
• Good communication skills and ability to work with engineers, project managers, and field staff
• Associate degree or certificate in CAD, drafting, or related technical field preferred

Preferred

• Experience with Trimble, Bluebeam, or similar construction software
• Field experience or site coordination background
• Electrical trade knowledge or experience working with electricians

Compensation:

• Competitive starting pay $20 -$40/hr or depending on experience
• Referral Bonuses of up to $100 for referrals that result in a placement

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
