About Us Mscape Landscaping is a landscape construction business based in One Tree Point, Northland. We deliver fencing, decking and outdoor build projects across Whangārei and the wider region. We’re looking for a skilled builder we can trust to run jobs independently. You’ll work alongside our employed lead builder on bigger projects and run your own jobs with one of our trusted labourers when he’s tied up elsewhere. Steady local work, clear scopes, and the autonomy to do the work properly. The Role • Run fencing, decking and outdoor build jobs from set-out through to handover • Work alongside our lead builder on larger projects, or independently on smaller ones • Direct and work alongside one labourer on your jobs • Read and interpret plans, set out, and make sensible on-site calls • Take responsibility for quality, timeline and tidiness on your patch • Liaise with the client on day-to-day matters; escalate to Luke when needed What We’re Looking For • Self-employed / GST-registered with own tools and ute (essential) • 8+ years’ experience in landscape construction or building • Site lead experience — you’ve run jobs and small crews before • Strong fencing experience — timber and aluminium • Deck construction and outdoor structures • Confident interpreting plans, setting out, and managing your own time • Track record of finishing jobs on time and to a high standard • Reliable, tidy and presentable on site • Current driver’s licence Advantageous • Pool barrier fencing knowledge • Concrete and groundwork experience • Own trailer or small digger • Multi-unit or commercial site experience • Site Safe / Site Wise card and current first aid certificate What We Offer • Steady pipeline of local Northland work — first jobs ready to start • Clear scopes, sharp drawings, and straight communication • The autonomy to run your jobs your way, with backup when you need it • Rates negotiated based on experience and scope — we pay properly for the right person How We Work We take pride in tidy sites, sharp finishes, and clients who recommend us.
