Caretaker / grounds person

* Full-time Monday to Friday role for 4–5 weeks in a school environment * Varied hands-on work across maintenance, repairs, grounds and boarding house upkeep * Carpentry / handyman skills valued | Police Vetting required We are seeking a practical, hands-on Caretaker / Grounds Person to support a busy school campus and boarding house on a short-term full-time assignment for approximately 4 - 5 weeks. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys keeping things running smoothly, takes pride in their work, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves. A background in carpentry or building would be highly regarded. About the Role You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of the school grounds, buildings, and boarding facilities, helping ensure the campus is safe, tidy, and well-presented. Key Duties Include: * General repairs and maintenance * Grounds upkeep and basic gardening * Minor carpentry and handyman tasks * Checking and maintaining school facilities * Assisting with boarding house maintenance needs * Ensuring a safe and tidy environment for staff and students What We’re Looking For: * Practical maintenance or trade skills * Carpentry / chippy background highly desirable * Reliable and able to work unsupervised * Good problem-solving skills * Physically fit and happy with hands-on work * Positive attitude and willingness to help where needed * Able to pass a Police Vetting check due to working within a school environment What’s on Offer: * End of May start * Monday to Friday hours * Great short-term opportunity * Friendly school environment * Full-time hours for 4 - 5 weeks If you enjoy practical work and making a real difference in a school community, we’d love to hear from you.
