Special Education Teacher (Intervention Specialist) - Intermediate Level

Location: Pataskala, OH

School Year: 2026-2027

Start Date: August 17, 2026

Contract Length: 40 weeks

We are seeking a Special Education Teacher (Intervention Specialist) for a full-time, school-based position in Pataskala, OH for the 2026-2027 school year . This is a 1.0 FTE role serving intermediate-level students and supporting individualized instruction and IEP implementation.

The Special Education Teacher will collaborate with school staff to provide specialized instruction, ensure compliance with IEP requirements, and support student academic and behavioral progress.

Position Details

• Schedule: Monday-Friday

• Hours: 36 hours per week

• Contract Length: 40 weeks

• Start Date: August 17, 2026

• Setting: In-person, school-based

• Grade Level: Intermediate

• Interview Process: Interview with Special Education Director

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction aligned with student IEPs

• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff

• Participate in planning, implementation, and documentation of student programs

• Support academic and behavioral goals through targeted instruction

• Maintain compliance with state, federal, and district requirements

• Attend IEP meetings and required school meetings

Requirements

• Active Ohio Intervention Specialist (IS) license

• Bachelor's degree preferred

• Prior school-based experience preferred

• Ability to meet all federal, state, and local requirements

Compensation Options

• Local Pay: $53 per hour

• Travel Pay: Approximately $2,074 per week , including housing and meals stipends
