Location: Indianapolis, IN (On-site) 46204

Duration: 6 + months contract | Hours: 37.5/week, Mon-Fri, 7.5 hrs/day (7-9am start)

Pay Rate : $35/hr

Overview
Serve as a Financial Analyst providing critical analytical support to program directors and financial teams. Act as the go-to expert for grant financial requirements, spend tracking, reporting, draws, rebates, and risk management. Partner with accountants, deputy controllers, and program leads to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, while driving budget controls, procurement, contracting, and revenue processes in the state financial system.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute project setups, budget/grant/contract amendments, renewals, and submissions.
• Guide program directors on grant expectations, timelines, goals, and budgetary constraints.
• Review accounting procedures, including general ledger postings, journal transfers/corrections, wires, and deposits.
• Handle reporting, reconciliations, and risk management for federal grants and program support.
• Apply critical thinking to align grant percentage requirements with expenses, vendor contracts, rebates, revenue, invoicing, and payments.
• Communicate effectively, intervene as needed, and support programs through federal reporting, sub-recipient audits, county support, and state/federal reviews (e.g., OMB/SBA, MOUs).

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business administration (highly desired).
• 3+ years managing budgets, reconciling accounts, and financial forecasting (required).
• 3+ years with statistical techniques and financial tools (required).
• 3+ years managing grants, goals, and timelines with budgetary constraints (required).

Highly Desired

• Experience with Indiana state-specific financial regulations and compliance.
• 3+ years as a financial analyst for a government agency.

Nice to Have

• Certified Financial Manager (CFM).

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
