Chief Financial Officer / business development

Quantum Group is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller & HR Manager to oversee day-to-day financial operations and human resources functions across five business units in NYC’s construction and design sectors.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll, and general ledger
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
• Maintain cash flow, expense tracking, and financial controls
• Coordinate with external accountants and auditors
• Administer payroll, benefits, and HR compliance
• Manage hiring, onboarding, and employee relations
• Maintain employee handbook and ensure labor law compliance

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of accounting or finance experience
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and compliance
• Experience with QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills
• Prior experience in construction or related industries preferred
• CPA or HR certification is a plus
