Itoya Topdrawer (Brookline, MA) seeks a Senior Product Designer to lead the design process from concept to execution, ensuring that our products not only meet business goals but also delight our users. Specific duties include: lead the end-to-end design process for new product features and enhancements (10%); design user-centric interfaces and experiences for web and mobile applications (5%); conduct user research and usability testing, and data analysis to gather insights and validate design decisions (5%); develop wireframes, prototypes, and user
flows using UX/UI design tools such as Figma, Keynote and Adobe XD (20%); collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction and visuals, translating business goals into seamless user experience (5%); manage the website’s content, design and technical aspects (10%); apply data-driven methodology to optimize user interaction (5%); lead the product development of main proprietary brand categories (15%); establish and maintain a design system that ensures consistency across all product touchpoints
(5%); mentor and guide junior designers, providing constructive feedback to help them grow in their roles (5%); apply user research methodology and usability testing to automate workflows and research, build and establish vendor relationships world-wide (5%); ensure accessibility and ADA compliance on the website (5%); and display working knowledge of programming using HTML, CSS and Javascript to work closely with developers (5%). Position requires travel 10% of the time within the US and internationally to meet vendors.
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a closely related field of study, plus 2 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Category Manager, or similar product designer position. Must have 2 years of experience working with NetSuite. Must also have 1 year of experience working with Shopify and managing websites. Specific experience must also include working with each of the following: Inventory management, E-Commerce, supply chain and sourcing; working with UX/UI design tools including Figma, KeyNote, and Adobe XD; working with frontend development; applying user-centered design principles and methodologies; conducting user research and usability testing with a focus on iterative design; communicating and collaborating to work effectively with a team; working in an agile team environment; applying quantitative and qualitative data to UX Design; developing innovative design solutions and leading the design of multiple features that have been shipped to end users; and designing and delivering improved engagement and retention for minimally one year. Position requires travel 10% of the time within the US and internationally to meet vendors.
