Job Description
Ohio University’s School of Media Arts & Studies and Scripps College of Communication invite applications for an adjunct faculty position in Media Arts Production with a focus on audiovisual media and video production for Fall Semester 2026-27.

Successful applicants must demonstrate knowledge of and experience in traditional and emerging forms of audiovisual production. Production and teaching experience are vital in the areas of conventional video & audio field production for both fiction and non-fiction media productions.

The School of Media Arts & Studies offers B.S., M.A., MFA, and PhD. degrees to approximately 700 students. School Facilities include two state-of-the-art recording studios, professional-grade audio listening lab, two multimedia computer labs, a production studio, as well as significant offerings of field production equipment. The Scripps College of Communication is the academic home of the School of Media Arts & Studies and four other units: The School of Communication Studies, the E.W. Scripps School of journalism, the School of Visual Communication, and the J. Warren McClure School of Information and Telecommunication Systems.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in film, media production or closely related field
  • Previous teaching experience, and an active creative practice

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in writing for the media, pre-production, production and post-production is preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of Adobe Premiere
