The Clay Table Pottery Studio

The Clay Table Pottery Studio is looking for a reliable, hands-on, and detail-oriented Studio Maintenance Assistant to help support the daily operations of our growing ceramics community. We’re seeking someone who enjoys working in a creative environment and takes pride in keeping a shared studio clean, organized, and running smoothly.

About the Role

This position focuses on behind-the-scenes studio operations and maintenance. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, comfortable with physical tasks, and able to work independently. Previous ceramics or studio experience is preferred, but not required for the right person.

Scheduling is flexible and hours may vary depending on studio needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Load and unload kilns
  • Mix and maintain glazes
  • Reclaim clay
  • Maintain and clean clay traps
  • Help keep the studio clean, safe, and organized
  • Organize shelves, tools, materials, and shared workspaces
  • Assist with general studio upkeep and maintenance tasks as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • No experience required, though ceramics or studio experience is preferred
  • Comfortable with hands-on and physical work
  • Organized, dependable, and attentive to detail
  • Able to work independently and stay on task
  • Positive attitude and willingness to help where needed
  • Interest in ceramics, community arts, or studio operations is a plus
