Senior Technical Estimation Advisor – Auckland We’re looking for a sharp, technically minded Senior Technical Estimation Advisor to join our clients innovative Auckland-based company operating in the window and door manufacturing sector. This is a hands-on role working with a specialist software platform, combining estimation expertise, technical problem-solving, and customer-facing support. If you enjoy getting into the detail of how things are built, costed, and configured - and you like turning complex technical problems into practical solutions - this could be a strong fit. What the role involves: You’ll be right at the centre of the platform, supporting customers and ensuring the system performs accurately and reliably. Day-to-day, you will: - Deliver front-line technical support and training to customers - Test new software features and updates to ensure system integrity (QA testing) - Build and maintain database structures and product configurations - Interpret technical drawings and translate them into accurate system setups - Support job costing, quoting, and product configuration queries - Analyse supplier pricing and support margin adjustments to win business - Assist with new product builds and regular system enhancement cycles What we’re looking for: Essential experience: - Strong technical estimating background in aluminium joinery, facade, window/door, glass, or related manufacturing - High proficiency with a quotation software system - Practical, hands-on understanding of fabrication or installation of aluminium joinery - Strong grasp of BOM structures, product configuration, material usage, and routing - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and pricing data - Solid commercial understanding of costing, labour, margins, discounts, and pricing structures - Experience identifying and resolving quoting, BOM, or costing discrepancies through system testing You will also bring: - Strong customer service and communication skills (confident, clear, and credible with clients) - Excellent general computer literacy - Strong organisation, prioritisation, and time management skills - A practical, solution-focused mindset - A genuine “can-do” attitude and team-oriented approach - The ability to think laterally and problem-solve under pressure This is a rare opportunity to step into a role that blends industry knowledge, software, and technical problem-solving in a growing specialist tech environment.
