Job Summary Kutztown University of
Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 7,500 students across its graduate and undergraduate programs. Located in a charming rural
setting in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, the University is just a 20-minute drive from the metropolitan areas of Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading,
and about an hour from the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The University seeks to hire employees with experience working with diverse
populations.
The Department of Music at Kutztown University is accepting applications for multiple part-time, non-tenure track
positions to teach Music Theory and/or Aural Skills beginning Fall 2026. These positions can be eligible for rollover and are not a one-year
replacement position such as for a sabbatical. The candidates may teach all levels of music theory and aural skills and perform other duties
as assigned. In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on effective
teaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities; continuing scholarly/professional growth; and service.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in music with fifteen semester hours of graduate
credit with at least three years teaching experience or master's degree in music with one year teaching experience. Degree requirements
include Music, Music Theory, Music Composition, Music Performance, Music Education, or a related music field. Candidates are required to
successfully complete the interview process, including a demonstration of teaching ability to be considered a finalist.
Preferred Qualifications A master's of music is preferred.
