This is a part-time role, with flexibility around days and hours for the right person. About the Role Reporting to the Administration Manager, this role is primarily responsible for the smooth and accurate delivery of payroll for over 150 staff and managing all aspects of the accounts payable function. Based in our new Trust Office, you will be part of a small, high-functioning team. You’ll have the freedom to own your role and manage your day backed by a supportive team whose primary focus is to support both our staff and 300+ residents. Key Responsibilities Payroll * Process and manage the fortnightly payroll cycle using MYOB Acumatica * Manage timesheet and rostering data through Wageloch * Ensure payroll is accurate, compliant and processed on time * Prepare and reconcile PAYE, KiwiSaver, ACC, and other statutory requirements * Maintain payroll records and employee files with a high level of confidentiality * Prepare payroll reports, leave summaries, and related documentation * Support payroll system improvements and ongoing compliance with NZ legislation * Respond to staff payroll queries professionally and confidentially Accounts Payable * Manage invoice processing, supplier payments, and reconciliations using MYOB AccountRight * Coordinate invoice approvals and maintain accurate filing systems * Complete payment runs accurately and on schedule * Reconcile supplier statements and maintain credit applications * Assist with administration of Trust vehicles and related records Other Duties * Provide general finance and office support as required * Assist with debtors and other administration functions during leave periods * Contribute positively to a supportive and resident-focused office culture What We’re Looking For * Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a dedicated payroll position (experience with MYOB Acumatica Payroll is an advantage) * Strong understanding of NZ payroll legislation, including the Holidays Act 2003, PAYE, KiwiSaver, and ACC * Accounts payable experience (experience with MYOB AccountRight is an advantage) * Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data * Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills * Ability to work independently and manage deadlines * A warm, respectful approach and an appreciation for the aged care environment Why Join Parkwood? * Flexible part-time hours to suit the right candidate * Work in a beautiful retirement village surrounded by established gardens * Free onsite parking * Leave day on your birthday * Morning teas available and discounted lunches * Active Staff Social Club * Supportive, friendly, and values-driven team environment * Meaningful work that contributes to the wellbeing of residents and staff * Varied role with autonomy and responsibility * Stable and well-regarded organisation with a strong community reputation If you are looking for a rewarding role where your experience will be valued and your workplace will be something special, we would love to hear from you.
